Google has made it their mission to help 1 million Europeans find job or grow their business by 2020 through their Grow with Google program.

The program provides free training, tools, and events that hope to help people learn new digital skills.

According to the President of Google.org, Jackquelline Fuller, since Google started Grow with Google in 2015, more than 214,000 people have found a new job or started a business thanks to the training offered. Another thing the company did to make sure that their resources will reach disadvantaged and marginalized groups in society is working in collaboration with organizations like OpenClassrooms and Inco.

As Fuller explains, that`s why Google announced on May 23, 2018, that they`re committing $100 million over the next five years through Google.org to non-profit organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The goal is to help organizations that focus on using technology and innovation to train people with new skills, connect job seekers with jobs, and support workers in low-wage employment.

“We’re always inspired by what people do when they have access to technology. And with our nonprofit partners, we’re doing everything we can to make sure technology brings opportunity to everyone.”, as Fuller writes in her blog post on the subject.

It is to be seen whether these initiatives will be useful for undeserved communities, entrepreneurs, and job seekers from all over the world. Anyway, it is another resource that is available for free and you can benefit from it. Have you tried using the new learning resources provided by Google? Share your thoughts in the comments.
