Sillicon Valley is to host a financial technology week from August 1 to August 6.
Fintech Week Sillicon Valley is a series of events that celebrate Fintech innovation. The event was first launched in London and is now coming to the USA`s business hub.
“We bring together senior figures in finance, tech, government, venture capital and start-ups into a room and let the magic happen. Conferences, meetups, workshops, a hackathon and an e xhibition all make up Fintech Week.”, as silliconvalley.fintechweek.com wrote.
Some of the speakers include Ken Kruszka, CEO/Founder of SnapCheck, Sheel Mohnot, Partner at 500 Startups, Brian Hamilton, CEO/EIR at BBVA New Digital Ventures and others.
What makes the Fintech week different?
According to the organizers, the Fintech week has a few features that make it different than other similar events:
- FAST PACED: We keep the talks short/interesting & networking long. Panels last 30 minutes, keynotes 20, and demo/intros 10.
- ECOSYSTEM: The people in the room are quality people. We take an ecosystem approach, which means we actively attract innovators, large firms, VCs, academics, government officials, press & start-ups.
- NO HARD SELL ON STAGE: We create an environment that’s great for making connections, not sales pitches. We have no problem with selling. We want you to sell more, we just prefer that it happens organically through networking.
The event will take place at Draper Univercity, San Mateo, CA.
