Target fulfilled its promise and launched its own mobile payments system. It has introduced Wallet in its App, Target. This new system Wallet will enable the customers of Target to check out by using their smartphone. Besides, the customers will be allowed to take the benefits of the discounts and Cartwheel digital coupons with the scan of the barcode.
The Cartwheel saving feature was already in the app. But now the users can add the discounts to their account with the use of Cartwheel feature. The shoppers will get a barcode that will be scanned during the sale. With the addition of the wallet, customers can pay with their Target REDcard.
The REDcard will be available on the debit card and the store credit card. It offers five percent cash back to inspire the users to use this card.
As said by retailers, the Wallet will offer more benefits to the customers. Check out will be four times faster than any other payment system. Any traditional payment system will take much longer. In the coming days, you might see some new features. The wallet will be able to add and pay with the GiftCards.
Target is not the only retailer that has own payment system. Before this, Walmart had launched the Walmart Pay, Kohls has Kohls pay, and CVS has CVS pay.
In-house payment will offer many benefits both to the customers and retailers. It will help the retailers to access the customers’ data and the customers will be able to make the payment fast and to get all the discounts as well.
Many retailers had this facility before. But Target’s Wallet is considered more effective. As said by Mike McNamara, Target Chief, and digital officer, it will make the checkout easier. The customers will certainly love this feature. They will get everything in one place including Cartwheel offers, GiftCards, and Weekly AD coupons.
This new feature of the Target will be available for iOS and Andriod users.
