The company`s new service is allowing users to control and connect their smart objects around the house via their new messaging bot - Netatmo Smart Home Bot.
Ever wanted to tell the coffee machine to make you some coffee or the TV to turn on your favorite show? Now it is possible thanks to French company Netatmo.
The company`s new service is allowing its users to control their smart objects around the house. They offer the chance to connect all devices using a chatbot in Messenger. The function is called Netatmo Smart Home Bot.
So, how is it working? Users can type straightforward queries like “turn on the lights in the living room” or “what`s the weather outside.” The Netatmo devices are compatible with AI applications such as Siri, Apple`s HomeKit, as well as Alexa, Google Home, and Messenger.
While the service is not that sophisticated yet, it would improve over time with regular use, as Netatmo told Tech Crunch. Except for this service, the company also sells indoor and outdoor security cameras, connected thermostats, and air quality monitoring devices, among other products.
Last year, Netatmo entered into several collaborative deals with home appliance brands. For instance, users can buy connected switches from Legrand and connected windows from Velux.
According to Tech Crunch`s report, Netatmo has plans to launch a connected module that can be used with Groupe Muller`s radiators. It seems like the company is expanding its assortment to all types of appliances and use cases. Let us see whether most homes will be smart soon.
