The Emerging Payments Awards will be held on October 5, 2017 at The Hilton, Park Lane, London.
“The Emerging Payments Awards recognises and celebrates the best the payments industry has to offer. In 2017 we’ll celebrate our 10th anniversary by hosting our biggest and best event yet!”, as the organizers wrote in a statement.
In 2016 the event was a sell-out six weeks in advance, with 650 attendees.
“Last year over 200 companies from across the globe entered 20 categories which were assessed by 31 judges. The winners were announced in style at a glittering and sumptuous ceremony attended by over 650 of the industry’s most senior opinion-formers and decision-makers.”, as the press release added.
All judges of the Emerging Payment Awards are bound by a Code of Conduct covering confidentiality, conflics of interest and constract with entrants, as the Emerging Payments Awards stated.
The judges will rely exclusively on the information provided by the Award entrant. The judges will be looking to see how the programme/product has been a success against the objectives, taking into account how it stands out from the rest of the market. Entries will also be judged on creativity and how clear and concise the entry is. Judges will also have the right to make nominations, except those in any way connected with their own organisation, that they believe are relevant and missing from the available judging selection, according to the organizers.
Some of the judges will be Roger Alexander, Chair of Judges Ned Accourt Ltd, Mark McMurtrie, former senior executive at S1, Postilion, The Logic Group, VeriFone and Hypercom. Niki Akhurst, a Business Development Director for The Pennies Foundation and other experts in the field.
