Juniper, an analyst company founded in 2001 by the Industry Consultant Tony Crabtree, has conducted a new survey examining blockchain technology and its application on a corporate level.
The survey named “Juniper Research: Blockchain Enterprise Survey August 2017” concluded that 76 per cent of respondents believe that blockchain could be “very useful” or “quite useful” for their company. Also, a relatively big proportion of companies, accounting to 51% considering or actively deploying blockchain feel that the technology will disrupt their businesses.
“It is clear that companies across the board have a significantly greater understanding of blockchain technology than was the case 12 months ago.”, as the researchers stated.
“This stems in part from a surge in R&D (research & development) both internally and in partnership with third parties, with a recognition that blockchain has the potential to be deployed in a variety of use cases. As the number of research projects has increased so, too, has awareness, both amongst the participants and elsewhere in their industries, with competitor companies in turn beginning to consider whether they, too, should seek to gain competitive advantage from deployment.”, as they added.
“Almost 400 company founders, executives, managers and IT responded to Juniper Research’s Blockchain Enterprise Survey; amongst companies who have reached the PoC (Proof of Concept) stage, two-thirds (66%) expected blockchain to be integrated into their systems by the end of 2018.”, as the survey found.
